Upon approval by WK himself, this series of Samsung ads has nothing to do with him which leads us to the question of creativity... thx redy for bringing up this questions and shooting the pics. Nowadays, we are bombard by the media everyday. Think of the ads you see on TV, newspaper and mags, how many of them are trully original? If you haven't read the SCMP article below, i would like to quote this from drift, " You can't copy. If you do something that someone has done before, you suck." Perhaps, this not only fit into the world of graf but also in any sector that relies creativity to survive. ie, music and design industry. I would say nearly 80 percent of the people passing through the TST mtr station would think that it's a pretty darn cool ad. In some sense, people that did these ads are pretty successful - they get some cash and the audience likes it. What's wrong with the person behind this ad is that he/she is not showing any respect to the originator. Plus, he/she does not think that it's a problem to steal other people's idea without giving any credits. Aren't people tired to see ads or commercial stuffs using simial graf/street art elements over and over again? Einstein defines insanity as "doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." Apparently we are living in a world full of insanity... Some people might think that we are overreacting, but if you are fine being an average mediocre person, just do nothing and keep breathing.
